Parties in the RAIN

Today got me thinking about how lucky I am to have been born in July, it never rained for my Birthday. That's not the case for the zillion of kids that were born in the winter months that celebrate birthdays in the rain and snow!

This goes out to all of those that get gloomy, rainy days to celebrate in.

You can still have a wonderful day and my activities can allow that.

Indoor play areas - Jump until your happy!
Pizza Places - Great food!
The Mall - do a scavenger hunt!
Rent a room
Play in the Rain! Yes, that's right play in the rain

We can help (of course) with indoor parties with games, face painting, crafts, indoor fun activities to have a wonderful birthday in any theme!

Don't wait...

This blogging thing takes a bit to get use to,
but to date I have blogged more in 2009 then I did in 2008
so that in itself is progress!

So what shall we discuss today?

We have a few upcoming special events such as the Superbowl and Valentine's Day
and I'll have more tips on those days in the coming days.

With our new themes, along side our old faithful
we are busy booking the beginning of the year which leads me to the topic of today.
Don't wait until the week of the party,
birthday
or event
to book your party planner.

I can't tell you how many calls that I have gotten the day before the party begging for us to show up
to decorate,
use our rentals
or entertain the kids.

I'm sure like with every other form of the industry
we book up months in advance
and the chance that we actually have a day available at the spur of the moment is rare.

So the tip of the day is to plan ahead!

BUDGET FRIENDLY PARTY

It's a new year and time to blog more often, giving my few readers more unique and interest tips on how to have the most wonderful party they can imagine.

Ok, so where do I start? I've gone over the basics, covered a few of the themes that we offer but now I think I want to step outside of my box and cover a few things that party planners don't usually bring up.

Why do you have the need to spend so much money on a 1st, a 5th or even a 10th birthday? Where it's a great business to be in, I find myself wondering why?

Good Housekeeping put out this http://www.goodhousekeeping.com/money/budget/kids-spending-0707 ARE YOU SPENDING TOO MUCH ON YOUR KIDS?

It's an interesting read.

With the economy the way it is here are a few tips to budgeting parties, and trust me when I say the kids will still have a great time!

  • Watch your guest list.
  • Hold the party at your own house.
  • Set up an arts and crafts time as alternative entertainment.
  • Don’t overdo the favors, souvenirs and party decor.
  • Cook your own food, bake your own cake or get them all from discount store.
  • Make your own invitations and thank you notes.
  • Get your supplies from discount stores or use coupons whenever possible and use the "theme" plates for the cake only, not the mean - find a generic colored paper plate to match.

Hope this helps tighten the belt a little and stop by often for more birthday party planning ideas!

If money is not a problem, then feel free to call us! We are always happy to help make your next event a wonderful memory!

2009 A NEW YEAR.....

"This is a time for reflection as well as celebration.

As you look back on the past year and all that has taken place in your life,

Remember each experience for the good that has come of it and for the knowledge you have gained.

Remember the efforts you have made and the goals you have reached.

Remember the love you have shared and the happiness you have brought.

Remember the laughter, the joy, the hard work, and the tears.

And as you reflect on the past year, also be thinking of the new one to come.

Because most importantly, this is a time of new beginnings and the celebration of life."

Wishing all of you a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!
