Recipes for Giving L O V E



Chocolate Kiss Cupcakes

Homemade cake mix or store bought cake mixChocolate kisses candy, unwrappedFrostingMake cake mix according to direction. Place muffin liners in muffin pan. Pour dough into each cup and place an unwrapped chocolate kiss in the middle of each cupcake. Bake according to directions. Allow to cool and frost. Your valentine will find a yummy hidden kiss inside their cupcake.



Heart Cupcakes

This is an easy way to make a Valentine recipe for your friend. Making heart shape cupcakes can be made simply by using large marbles or tin foil wrapped up in a marble size ball. Before placing cake mix into cupcake liners. Place a marble ball on the outside of the liner. This will shape the top into a heart shape.



Homemade Chocolate Kiss

½ Cup butter5 cups marshmallows or 40 large marshmallows 6 Cups crispy rice cereal6 oz. Package of chocolate chips Funnels of desired size In microwave safe bowl add butter, marshmallows and chocolate chips. Melt in microwave several minutes until chocolate and marshmallows are completely melted. Stirring occasionally. Place rice cereal into large bowl and pour chocolate mixture over top. Stir to coat evenly. Cool slightly so you can handle the mixture. Butter inside of large funnels. Press warm rice mixture into funnel and allow to cool. Place upside down and unmold from funnel. Wrap in plastic or tin foil. Write a little note to your Valentine on a long strip of paper and wrap up with the paper sticking out of the top.



Cookie Bouquet

Sugar cookie dough Sucker sticks Frosting Prepare sugar cookie dough according to directions. Cut out dough into heart or flower shapes with a cookie cutter. Place a sucker stick into each cookie. Bake according to directions. Allow to cool and frost. To give to your Valentine place cookies on the stick in a vase. Tie with a bow and attach a Valentine note.

Pink Divinity


2 2/3 cups sugar2/3 cup light corn syrup1/2 cup water2 egg whites1 teaspoon vanilla extract1 to 2 drops red food coloringIn a saucepan add sugar, corn syrup and water. Cook on medium and stir until sugar is dissolved. Turn to low and continue cooking without stirring until a candy thermometer reads 260 degrees. (you may need an adult's help with this step) Meanwhile in a mixing bowl add 2 egg whites. Beat on high until stiff peaks form. Once candy thermometer reads 260 degrees add the hot mixture to the egg whites while mixing. Add vanilla and red food coloring. Continue to mix until thickens. Lay out a sheet of waxed paper and drop candy by spoonfuls making mounds. Let cool.


Red Rice Treats

Prepare rice krispies treats from a recipe and add red food coloring. Spread into a 13x9 pan and cool. With a heart cookie cutter cut rice krispies out. This is a simple and easy kids recipe they can make for their friends this Valentine's day.



Valentine Oatmeal Cookies

These cookies are spotted with Red (Craisins or dried cranberries) and white chocolate chips. This makes an easy Kids Valentine recipes.2/3 Cup butter2/3 Cup brown sugar2 large eggs1 teaspoon baking soda1/2 teaspoon Salt1 1/2 Cups flour1 1/2 Cups oats1 6 ounce package of Craisins dried cranberries1 Cup white chocolate chipsIn mixing bowl cream together butter and brown sugar. Add in eggs, baking soda and salt. Mix together then add flour. Mix until well blended. Stir in white chocolate chips and Craisins. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Roll into small balls and place on a cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes until golden brown.



Breakfast Valentine Recipes

Love Potion Smoothie 1/2 cup frozen strawberries1/2 cup frozen raspberries1 small carton of yogurt1/2 Cup ice cubes1 cup apple juicePlace strawberries, raspberries and juice in blender. Blend several seconds. If you would like a thicker smoothie add more fruit or for a drinkable smoothie add 1/4 Cup more juice. This is one of those Valentine recipes that can be used year round.



Fruit Flowers

Kids can use their creativity to make flowers out of cut fruit. Try using sliced strawberries for a flower and petals and use sliced kiwi for stems. Sliced peaches, raspberries, or blueberries all work great also. Create a flower on a plate or turn this simple Valentine recipe into a bouquet of flowers for your



Heart shaped pancakes

Use a metal cookie cutter and pour pancake batter inside.
Cut toast into heart with a cookie cutter and spread with red jam.
Drizzle a heart with honey or maple syrup on oatmeal or hot cereal.
Spread strawberry cream cheese, then strawberry jam on top of a tortilla. Roll up and cut into slices.


Biscuits shaped like hearts and serve with eggs.
