4th of July - the Kabob Party Time!

Who doesn't like to celebrate on the fourth of July! Here are some fun ways to make Independence Day 2008 on to remember!

A great idea for grilling is to have a “Make-Your-Own Kabob Party”.

Invitations-

Use Evite.com sends electronic invitations through the Internet and is very easy to use.

Food-

Prepare and refrigerate skewer sized meat and vegetables. Some meat and vegetables may include chicken, steak, onions, green peppers, red peppers, yellow peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, and zucchini. Marinades add a little extra flavor to the kabob and can be found at your local grocery store. Some side dishes to consider are fruit kabobs, rolls, potato salad, or pasta salad.

For dessert, the “Flag Cake” with real whipped cream.

If you need tables, chairs, or a margarita machine check out the agaperabba.com or your local yellow pages (online or paper) for party rental stores.

Drinks-

Juice Boxes, Ice Tea, Punch, Frozen Daiquiris, Bahama Mamas.

Activities-
* Create Kabobs
* hire a local clown
* hire a face painter
* rent a bouncer
* watch fireworks
* have a swimming pool? tell guests to bring their swim suits.

Decorations-

Some general decorations would include red, white and blue balloons, paper cups, plates, table clothes, streamers, etc…

To spice up the party consider hiring a DJ, commissioning a ice sculpture, arranging private fireworks.
